ORANGE BUTTERCAKE

I've just made this lovely orange softbuttercake for makan-makan yesterday. The tastes is so soft and very suit with my tekak. So here i'd like to share the recipe with you guys..

ORANGE BUTTERCAKE

250g butter (i used Buttercup)

200g castor sugar

250g superfine flour (tepung gandum also can - but u have to sieve it first)

4pcs eggs (gred A, or u can add another 1pc if used the small one)

1tbs baking powder

1/2cup orange juice

1/2cup fresh milk

1tbs orange essence (use the clear liquid - not the orange paste)

a few drops of orange artificial colour

Method:

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy and creamy. Add the eggs gradually, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add essence and juice, beat until combined.
Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl. Using a wood ladle, fold in the sifted flour alternately with the milk.
Stir until just combined and the mixture is almost smooth.
Put the mixture into prepared tin; smooth surface. Bake 45 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean when inserted in centre of cake.

Good Luck and enjoy baking! :)
